2019 Dupasquier Mondeuse

Lovingly crafted by David Dupasquier, five generations of Dupasquier’s family have been farming the steep slopes of Jongieux. Domaine Dupasquier is often described as 'traditional', in reference to the finely honed production methods and practices that have remained unchanged for generations. Mondeuse is an indigenous Savoie red grape variety, sharing some traits with Syrah – perhaps a little lighter-bodied but with harder-edged tannin. This is full of characters of red berry fruit wrapped by earth, cassis leaf, and deep notes of black pepper and spice.
