2022 Podere 414 Rosato IGT ‘Flower Power’

The Scansano region is known for its rich and tumultuous history. After the entire region fell into disrepair at the turn of the 1900s, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany spent the better part of the century reforming the land. Dividing the farmable areas into numbered plots during the 1960’s, and in 1998 Simone Castelli together with his Wife Maria bought the plot labelled ‘414’, creating Podere 414. The ‘Flower Power’ is a charming Merellino (Local name for Sangiovese) Rose. As the name suggests, a perfumed and light rose with tart red cherries and blueberries flavours, with just enough Sangiovese earthiness to make the Flower Power a unique and complex wine.
