2019 Moric Blaufränkisch

Roland Velich comes from a winemaking family in Burgenland but started out working as a croupier. He then embarked on his study of the great wines of the world which eventually led him back home in 2011 to establish Moric with the intention to craft a blaufränkisch that would rival the greats! Which he has now achieved with great success. Velich’s passion for blaufränkisch and Burgenland is clearly represented in these standout, age worthy wines and certainly does rival ‘the greats’. This example offers aromas of lifted red fruits, earthy spice, black pepper and fresh rose petals. It’s medium bodied with great concentration and balance of flavour.
