2025 Gentle Folk 'Basket Range' Chardonnay

'The second release from our 1.85-hectare block on the steep slopes of Basket Range. The northerly aspect and deep clay soils give the wine boldness and texture. Stone fruit and spearmint sit alongside flint, struck match and a hint of oak, balanced by a strong line of acidity.'

'Whole bunches were pressed to tank and settled overnight before the wine was racked off heavy solids to barrel. The wine spent 12 months in French oak (25% new), followed by three months in tank before bottling.'
