2023 Mac Forbes Yarra Valley Pinot Noir

Victoria has become a home for many international varietals, from the classy Pinot and Chardonnay of the Mornington Peninsula to the powerful Italian varietals of Heathcote. On both on an Internation front and on domestic shores, Mac Forbes has been crucial in representation of Australian wine to larger audiences. Mac Forbes started his titular label in 2004 with a desire to better understand his home turf: The Yarra Valley, farming Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and using grower connections to create whatever his wild mind is thinking of next. The Yarra Valley Label is blended from all of Mac’s Grower plots and is a snapshot of the region. Despite the challenging 2023 vintage, this pinot noir is easy going with a serious edge.
