2022 Cirillo 'The Vincent' Grenache

Really one of the most underrated producers in Australia, year after year Marco Cirillo impresses with incredibly old vine Grenache cuvees, The ‘Vincent’ named after Marco’s father, is a thank you for passing down passed eight generations of Italian winemaking to his son. This Grenache is produced from two 100+ (1901 an 1906) year old vineyards. Marco has always bucked the trend of producing overtly oaked, densely fruited, warmer styles of Grenache. Ahead of his time, this style is now become in vogue, but there’s little to no other producers with access to such old vine material. Lithe, with rich fruit and white pepper. The palate is generous with intense true varietal characteristics. It’s delicately rounded and deliciously glugable.
