2022 Spinifex ‘Miette’ GSM

Barossa Valley, SA

A household name in the Barossa, Spinifex took the valley's reputation from ripe and rich reds in a more restrained and savoury direction. A common blend seen in the Southern Rhone, Grenache leads the way with vibrant red fruit, Mouverdre adds a depth of spice and structural tannins and a dash of Shiraz adding some darker fruits. Some great winemaking, a mix of maturation vessels (no new oak) and plenty of patience (22 months maturation) make this wine something special AND extremely good value.
