2021 Vinea Marson Rosato

Owner-winemaker Mario Marson spent many years as the winemaker/viticulturist with the late Dr John Middleton at the celebrated Mount Mary. Mario’s Italian heritage plays a focal point in the wines of Vinea Marson, influenced by memories of his Grandfather growing and tending Friulano, Merlot and Cabernet. The 2021 Vintage of the Rosato sees a shift from the normal Sangiovese/Nebbiolo blend, with less Nebbiolo on offer this year, it’s time for a stand-alone Sangiovese Rosato. Enticing strawberries and cream on the nose, balanced out by herbal savouriness, upright and present phenolics ride alongside red and yellow fruit characters.
