Pietradolce, meaning ‘sweet stone’, was founded in 2005 by Michele Faro and his family. Hailing from Solicchiata, northern slopes of Etna. This is 100% nerello macescalese, grown from stony, light, sandy soil. This is from the only Pietradolce vineyard which is not grown alberello, Italian for bush vines. First-rate Enta; whispers of red berries, under ripe peach and nectarine on the nose, with a touch of wet stone. Salinity and tempered acidity fill out the mid palate, perfect for slicing through the richness of beef cheek tacos while balancing the spiciness.
