2018 Doyard Oeil De Pedrix Grand Cru (Rosé)

We are very proud to announce the return of Champagne Doyard to our shores. For over a decade City Wine Shop has been the sole importer of Champagne Doyard and it’s become an absolute staple for us and a great pleasure to share it with you all. Based in and around the village of Vertus within the Côte des Blancs. The Doyard family have been growing grapes for 12 generations and have been making wine under the Doyard label for 4. The family grow and handle mostly Chardonnay grapes with a small amount of Pinot Noir with average vine age being 40 years.

75% Pinot Noir from Aÿ Grand Cru, 25% Chardonnay from Avize Grand Cru. No MLF. Fermented and aged in older barrel. Aged on the lees for 36 months. Dosage: 3g/L.

Dried apricot, delicate red berries, mirabelle plum, bright acidity. Full bodied, vinous and elegant.
