2023 Kumeu 'Village' Pinot Gris

 
Located Northwest of Auckland, the region of Kumeu is one of New Zealand’s best-kept wine secrets, and no one champions this region better than Michael Brajkovich. Armed with a Master of Wine and decades of experience, Michael produces outstanding wines on his Main Kumeu River Label and its little brother Kumeu Village. The 2023 pinot gris is hand-harvested, gently pressed, and then fermented and aged on indigenous yeasts. The aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the floral perfume that we have come to expect from pinot gris. On the palate, the wine is rich and complex with a lively texture.
