2023 Vallevò Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

When the cooler evenings set in, there might not be a better wine to reach for than this Montepulciano from the Vallevò co-operative. Based in the rolling hills just outside Chietti in Abruzzo, Vallevò produce well-made, honest and flavourful wines from the local varieties. This Montepulciano is chock full of dark fruits; think plums, cherry skin and blackberry, with a delightful savoury twist of black olive tapenade, dried oregano and rosemary all packaged up with plenty of soft tannin for the perfect midweek drop.
