2021 Vinoque Novo Tinto Touriga Nacional

From the folks at De Bortoli, the Vinoque label focuses on small plots across Victoria, showcasing regionality and style. Touriga Nacional is native to Portugal, where it is most notably used for the making of Port. However it is also used for making table wine. Finding a rightful home in Heathcote, the warm, dry climate suits the fully flavoured and fragrant variety well. This wine certainly delivers, with bold blue and purple fruits, some meaty charcuterie notes, spice and mocha. Layers of flavour come together to make a beautifully balanced wine.
