2021 Murdoch Hill Red Blend

Having hosted Chief Winemaker, Michael Downer, at The City Wine Shop recently, it’s clear that he is proud of his little corner of the Adelaide Hills. Returning to the family winery in 2012, having worked with some big names in Australia as well as further afield, Michael makes wines that are approachable yet serious and this red blend, from an outstanding vintage, is just that.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese working in harmony. Cabernet’s mulberry character, Merlot’s plummy plushness, and Sangiovese’s vibrant acidity and spice are supported by fine soft tannins. A wine for any day of the week.
