Wines of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio have been often described as the Barolo of the South. Comparisons aside, there is no mistaking these varietals - enchanting aromas, delicacy, elegance and also oddly, a touch wild. Succulent cherries, aniseed, earth, velvet tannins and of course showcasing the classic rustic Italian sway.
