2020 Vigneron Schmölzer and Brown Somerset Chardonnay

This is a one-off, small batch release from our friends Jeremy and Tessa from Beechworth. It is made with fruit from 40 year old organic chardonnay vines in the Goulburn region in Victoria. The fruit went through a wild fermentation on full solids across four barrels, three old and one new; followed by a full malolactic fermentation. This stunning chardonnay is ripe and full with Jeremy and Tessa’s Midas touch preventing it from being at all flabby. Stone fruit like nectarine and white peach fill the glass with perfect fruit tension and texture and juicy acidity.
