If you’re drinking an Australian expression of an Italian varietal, chances are the original cuttings came from the Chalmers family. Since the mid-1980's Bruce and Jenni Chalmers have been responsible for importing up to 70 alternative varieties into Australia, culminating in them establishing the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show in 1999. Continuing to act as industry Trail blazers, Bruce and Jenni have brought in the first ever Falanghina cuttings into Australia. Typically a varietal that thrives in warm climates, with a vibrant raciness and a clean acid line, this is full of bright and lifted aromas of frangipani and citrus oil – oyster brine and stone, super playful on the palate, with crunchy citrus fruit that’s tangy and deliciously drinkable.
