Schloss Lieser is known as one of the most striking buildings in the Middle Mosel. Thomas Haag, son of the owner of the Fritz Haag Estate, has been general manager and cellar master at Schloss Lieser since the harvest of 1992. The wine-making philosophy as Schloss Lieser is aligned with tenets for quality traditional wine – low yields, hand-harvesting and extreme fruit selection. On the nose, think lime and orange blossom. A crescendo of Mandarin fruit, matched with a long steely bow of acid and a sleek mineral backbone.
