2018 Pittnauer Pitti Zweigelt/Blaufränkisch/Merlot

Fresh, bright and insanely drinkable, Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer's wines are some of the best coming out of the Burgenland region at the moment. 2018’s Pitti is a blend made from indigenous red wine varieties Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, alongside the international grape Merlot. The charismatic bouquet presents black fruits, wafts of cigar box and liquorice. Blaufränkisch adds balancing blackberry juiciness to the palate.
So ‘ausruhen’ with your feet up after a hard day - drink alongside some Comté or Manchego cheese.
