Often referred to as Zinfandel in the new world, but Primitivo like this is miles away from the super concentrated Californian styles. Italy’s Puglia region is best known for producing wines impressing deep, dark, rich flavours. Mark Shannon and Elvezia Sbalchiero, the duo behind A Mano, have stayed true to the region's reputation. It’s all plum, almost prune fruit. Waves of clove, cumin and anise fill the palate perfectly - pitched against a precise line of acidity that wraps everything up nicely.

We’re thinking this would saddle up nicely with some juicy Italian pork & fennel sausages.
