2020 Toolangi Pinot Noir

From a long and cool growing season, the 2020 Toolangi Pinot was hand-harvested from 2001 plantings (MV6 clone grapes on the bottom of E Block). The fruit was naturally fermented as whole berries with a five-day cold soak and a total of 14 days on skins. It was pressed to
French oak (eight per cent new) for nine months and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Again, this is absolutely outstanding value. It’s a bright, perfumed, layered yet juicy Pinot redolent of both a fine vintage and the new approach that Kaspar Hermann has bought to the Toolangi winemaking.
